No butter needed for this banana bread recipe because mayonnaise will serve as 2 in 1 ingredient, mayonnaise is made of egg white and oil. It make sense, right? This Banana Bread with mayonnaise came from Pinoy business website. Actually the name is only banana bread. I just added mayonnaise to the title. Why not? It's new. I just want to share and introduce banana bread with mayonnaise. I tried it and the bread tastes good, it is sweet and the banana taste really shines without banana flavoring. Must try banana bread recipe. You can add 1/2 walnuts to add texture to your banana bread.
BANANA BREAD w/ MAYONNAISE
Ingredients:
1 egg
1/2 cup miracle whip dressing
3 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Procedure:
1. Preheat the oven at 350°F.
2. Prepare the dry ingredients. Mix the flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside.
3. Prepare another bowl and mix the Wet ingredients. Whisk egg, sugar, mayonnaise and mashed bananas. Whisk until sugar dissolved.
4. Then add the dry ingredients (flour mixture) to wet ingredients (egg mixture) mix until no flour visible, but don't over mix.
5. Then pour into 9x5 greased pan.
6. Bake for 1 hour. After 30 minutes, cover the banana bread with aluminum foil to avoid the banana bread to burn on top.
7. Let it cool in pan for 10 mins.
